BAT to Launch New Tobacco Product glo hyper pro on Official Online Store and Amazon on December 18

BAT Japan will begin selling the new heated tobacco device model, the “glo hyper pro,” starting today (December 18, 2023) through the glo & VELO official online store and Amazon.co.jp.

In addition, the product is expected to gradually roll out from January 5, 2024 at major convenience stores nationwide and selected AEON stores.

The “glo hyper pro” features an “EASYVIEW screen.” Its AMOLED display shows device status such as charging status, troubleshooting information, and usage progress.

In addition, the device is equipped with a “TASTE SELECT dial,” allowing users to choose the heating mode simply by turning the dial. Two heating modes are available: “Standard” and “Boost.” Press and hold the side button until the device vibrates to start heating.

The heating system also uses the new “HEATBOOST technology,” designed to deliver greater satisfaction. Usage time is 4 minutes 30 seconds in “Standard” mode and 3 minutes in “Boost” mode. For example, in “Standard” mode, usage time is 30 seconds longer than the previous model, the “glo hyper X2.”

Other main specifications include up to 20 sessions on a full charge (actual usage may vary depending on conditions). Charging time is approximately 90 to 100 minutes.

The device measures 36.6 (W) × 96.7 (H) × 21.1 (D) mm and weighs 90 g. It features an “intuitive, easy-to-hold premium design” and is available in four body colors: Ruby Black, Obsidian Black, Lapiz Blue, and Jade Teal.

The retail price is 3,980 yen.
