British American Tobacco (BAT) Ireland has called for stricter regulation of e-cigarettes with candy, dessert, and soft drink flavors. The company believes this will make the e-cigarette industry more responsible.<\/p>

In November last year, lawmakers voted in favor of banning the sale of e-cigarette products to minors. This legislation was subsequently approved by the Senate and signed into law by President Michael D. Higgins. The law is currently awaiting an order to begin enforcement.<\/p>

In an interview, Minister of Health Stephen Donnelly stated that these regulations are "very important" and will be implemented "soon."<\/p>
