Mexican president aims to enact anti-vaping bill before end of term

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said he plans to introduce a law before the end of his term in 2024 to ban the use of e-cigarettes and vapes.

This move comes after the Supreme Court struck down his earlier attempt to ban the sale of these products.

According to media reports, Mexico already has one of the strictest anti-tobacco laws in the world, as demonstrated by legislation that took effect in January banning smoking in all public places, including on the street.

Mexico has already banned the import of e-cigarettes.
