BAT Japan Launches Heated Tobacco Device Glo Hyper Pro for Sale on December 18

Japan is set to launch the new heated tobacco device Glo Hyper Pro for sale on December 18, 2023, with availability in nationwide convenience stores and select AEON stores starting January 5, 2024.

According to local Japanese media kakaku, BAT Japan has announced the release of the new heated tobacco device "Glo Hyper Pro," which is the successor to the heated tobacco device "Glo."  

Sales will begin on December 18, 2023, at the glo & VELO official online store and Amazon.co.jp, with nationwide sales starting on January 5, 2024, at major convenience stores and AEON (with some stores excluded).

The "Glo Hyper Pro" features an "EASYVIEW screen." The AMO LED display provides device status notifications, such as charging status, troubleshooting information, and session progress.  

It also includes a "TASTE SELECT dial," allowing users to choose the heating mode simply by turning the dial. It supports two heating modes: "Standard" and "Enhanced," which can be selected by turning the dial. If the button on the side of the device is pressed and held until it vibrates, it will begin heating.

Additionally, the heating technology incorporates the new "HEATBOOST technology," which claims to pursue a higher level of satisfaction. The "Standard" heating time is 4 minutes and 30 seconds, while the "Enhanced" time is 3 minutes. For example, in the "Standard" mode, the session time is 30 seconds longer than the previous model "GLO Hyper X2."

Other key specifications include 20 uses (the number of uses when the device is fully charged; this may vary based on usage). The charging time is approximately 90-100 minutes.

The device dimensions are 36.6 (W) × 96.7 (H) × 21.1 (L) mm, and it weighs 90g. It features an "intuitive and easy-to-hold premium design" and is available in four body colors: ruby black, obsidian black, lapis lazuli blue, and emerald green.

The price is set at 3,980 yen.
