ammo Huoqi China-Standard Vape Flavor Review
Before the new regulations, I sold Huoqi fruit-flavored pods, and I have to say their flavor blending was quite good. The flavor accuracy was high, and the sweetness and cooling were just right. Customer feedback from in-store trial puffs was also fairly positive. After the E-cigarette Administration Measures required all stores to sell China-standard tobacco-flavored pods, I ordered several boxes of Huoqi pods last week and, after trying them, put together this review for everyone.
At present, there are two China-standard pod flavors on the market: Huoqi ammo Yunding Shanye and Huoqi ammo Yunding Fengqing, both compatible with the Huoqi ammo classic device. According to Huoqi customer service, several more flavors are currently under review. Two of them have already passed technical evaluation and are expected to launch soon. They are all tobacco flavors formulated in accordance with China’s national standards.
Both the front and back of the Huoqi pods are printed with the wording “Discourage Smoking.” The front shows ammo, while the back displays flavor names such as Yunding Shanye and Yunding Fengqing. The appearance continues the bold design style of Huoqi’s pre-standard pods, and each pod has a 2 ml capacity.
It is understood that the Huoqi Yunding series pods use a high-density composite cotton wick design. The atomization efficiency of the cotton wick is somewhat higher than that of ceramic coils. I personally compared them with Huoqi’s older fruit-flavored pods, and the new China-standard cotton-wick version feels smoother, with denser vapor as well.
As for leak prevention, Huoqi has always done an excellent job. This time, a great deal of effort clearly went into the new China-standard pod design as well. Its anti-leak structure uses Huoqi’s proprietary “4-layer sealed chamber” design, in which multiple partition layers are tightly integrated to ensure structural stability and effectively prevent leakage.
Now let’s talk about the flavors. Both Yunding Fengqing and Yunding Shanye have very distinct tobacco notes. Fengqing leans more toward the profile of Su-style cigarettes, while Shanye is closer to the original aroma style within flue-cured tobacco.
Yunding Fengqing has a medium level of tobacco intensity. Its Chinese flue-cured tobacco character is very pronounced, with a faint caramelized sweetness in the finish. The overall aroma is a blend of roasted notes, charred sweetness, floral notes, and more.
Yunding Fengqing delivers a rich tobacco aroma and a lingering sweet aftertaste. When savored in the throat, it feels a bit like roasted sweet potato, carrying a lightly charred fragrance. Overall strength is moderate, and throat hit is relatively mild.
Yunding Shanye has a somewhat different overall profile from Fengqing. It mainly emphasizes a mellow, full-bodied original tobacco aroma. The flavor profile appears to have been developed with original-flavor cigarettes as a reference, giving it fairly rich layering that makes it especially suitable for longtime smokers.
