Brazil Highway Police Seize Illegal Vaping Devices, Investigation Underway
The Brazilian highway police seized a batch of illegal electronic cigarettes on the highway and will launch an investigation. According to regulations, Brazil prohibits the sale and promotion of electronic cigarettes. The goods have been handed over to the Federal Revenue Police.
According to DM news, the Brazilian Federal Highway Police seized a batch of electronic cigarette goods on November 24 on the BR-153 highway in Goiás state.
According to the police, although the person transporting the goods was not arrested, an investigation will be conducted.
The batch of electronic cigarettes was on a bus traveling from Santa Catarina to Palmas in Tocantins. According to the regulations of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), electronic cigarettes are prohibited from being sold and promoted in Brazil. This batch of goods has been seized and handed over to the Federal Revenue Police in Goiânia.
