Fumot Announces New Rotating 4-Pod Replacement Pod Product

Recently, GeWu exclusively learned that Fumot International has announced the launch of the industry’s latest rotating 4-pod replacement vaping device—the Twist Slim.

Fumot International said this 4-pod replacement vaping device will redefine the concept of pod-based products and deliver a one-of-a-kind pod-switching experience for users.

It is worth noting that, in order to differentiate it from the previous-generation Twist, Fumot has introduced a brand-new brand, Sky Hunter. According to people familiar with the matter, this product had been in internal testing for some time and already made an appearance at last month’s Dortmund exhibition, where hundreds of samples were given away and it received highly positive market feedback.  

In fact, since JUUL first defined the magnetic pod system format in 2017, pod-based products on the market have looked very similar, making major breakthroughs difficult. However, through technological innovation, Fumot International has once again disrupted the industry and taken the pod replacement experience for vaping devices to a new level.

As disposable vaping devices gradually face tighter restrictions, the launch of the Sky Hunter Twist Slim also marks the strong return of pod-based vaping devices. According to Fumot International, the rotating 4-pod disposable product Happy Vibes Twist, launched in December 2022, has already achieved major success in the UK market, and this newly released Twist Slim is set to continue leading the trend.

From a product technology perspective, the biggest changes this time are not only in the appearance. Compared with the previous-generation product, the Twist Slim is smaller and lighter. It also features Mesh Coil technology, while the pods use a cotton reservoir structure to deliver a flavor experience similar to disposables.

The product also continues the rotating pod-switching design: unlike traditional pod systems, the Twist Slim can hold four independent pods at once, and users can switch between pods with a simple rotation.  

Like the previous-generation product, the Twist Slim supports loading four different 2ML flavor pods at the same time to meet varying user taste preferences. However, in terms of loading structure and mechanism, the previous-generation product used an up-and-down plug-in and press-to-load method, while the latest Twist Slim has been completely redesigned: the outer ring of the Twist Slim can be directly inserted and removed, with side-loading pods in a design similar to a revolver. It has also changed from a square shape to a round one, with added rotational resistance for a more tactile feel.

In fact, this type of rotating product is becoming a new compliant solution in the post-TPD regulatory era.

Under TPD regulations, the maximum e-liquid capacity of a closed pod or cartridge cannot exceed 2ml. By designing four closed e-liquid chambers that share the same rechargeable battery, outer shell, and other common components, the Twist Slim ultimately meets both compliance requirements and users’ demand for higher puff counts.

Fumot International stated that the launch of the Sky Hunter Twist Slim is based on multiple core structural invention patents and utility model patents applied for by the company in 2022, forming a portfolio of more than a dozen patents. The new pod system will be brought to market under the Sky Hunter brand, and Fumot International’s vision is to make its Happy Vibes and Sky Hunter brands leading names in the future UK market.
