Slovenian government proposes ban on flavored vapes
The Slovenian government has recently proposed legislation aimed at preventing youth tobacco addiction. The proposal would ban all flavors in e-cigarettes and prohibit smoking in enclosed public spaces.
According to a November 10 report from EFE, the Slovenian government recently introduced a legislative proposal intended to prevent youth tobacco addiction. The proposal would ban all flavors in e-cigarettes and prohibit smoking in enclosed public spaces.
Slovenian Health Minister Valentina Prevolnik Rupel emphasized that studies show adolescents who use e-cigarettes are four times more likely to smoke than those who do not use them.
In addition, the bill would remove the current exemptions that allow smoking in designated areas at workplaces and restaurants, thereby fully implementing the smoking ban regulations approved in 2007.
