According to a report from Canadian media Global News on November 8, Ontario has recently announced that it will impose additional taxes on e-cigarette products sold in the province. This means that Ontario has become the latest province in Canada to announce taxes on e-cigarette products. <\/p>
In last week's fall economic statement, Ontario stated that it will impose an additional tax on e-cigarette products sold in the province, which will be double the current federal tax rate. <\/p>
As of November 2023, six provinces and territories have banned or are about to ban most flavors of e-cigarette products, including: <\/p>
Nova Scotia <\/p><\/li>
Prince Edward Island <\/p><\/li>
New Brunswick <\/p><\/li>
Northwest Territories <\/p><\/li>
Nunavut <\/p><\/li>
Quebec <\/p><\/li><\/ul>
Among them, Nunavut has also signed an agreement with the federal government regarding adjustments to the tax policy on e-cigarette products, which will take effect in July 2024. <\/p>
