The Swiss Canton of Vaud plans to ban the sale of e-cigarettes to minors, as the state parliament has basically agreed to amend the relevant laws during a preliminary debate.
According to a report by Zentralplus on November 8, the Canton of Vaud plans to prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes to minors.
The state parliament has basically agreed to amend the relevant laws during a preliminary debate. If this law is implemented, the legal provisions for e-cigarettes will be the same as those for cigarettes and other tobacco products. According to the Swiss Tobacco Prevention Work Federation, ten cantons in Switzerland already prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes to minors.
The Swiss federal level is also working on this issue, with consultations having concluded in early October.
