JTI Increases Investment in Poland’s HNB Operations to $1.3 Billion!
On October 16, according to WH News, Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has increased its investment in Poland to $1.3 billion and is promoting its heated tobacco device, Ploom X. The tobacco sticks used with this device are produced in Poland.

The heated tobacco market in Poland is developing very rapidly and now accounts for more than 10% of the market. In Warsaw, the share of the overall tobacco products market has already exceeded 25%. Its value is estimated at 4.8 billion zloty. The innovative tobacco products factory in Stare Gostków, near Łódź, is increasing production of sticks for Ploom X devices to meet growing demand in Poland and around the world. Yan Sobolevskyy, JTI Poland’s operations director, said the factory has added more than 100 employees this year alone, and the investment in the innovative tobacco products plant is worth more than $200 million. This is the only JTI factory of its kind outside Japan, and JTI is expected to make further major investments in innovative product production and the entire manufacturing hub in Stare Gostków.
