China's E-Cigarette Export Volume to South Korea Surged 128% in August
News on October 15: According to updated trade data from China Customs, 2023 August data on e-cigarettes exported from China to South Korea shows that China’s e-cigarette exports to South Korea increased 21% year-on-year in August to RMB 400 million.
Export value reached US$59.10 million (approximately RMB 432 million), down 12.54% month-on-month and up 20.75% year-on-year. Export volume was 2,588,260 kilograms, up 8.73% month-on-month and up 128.33% year-on-year. The average export price was US$22.84 per kilogram (approximately RMB 167 per kilogram), down 19.56% month-on-month and down 47.12% year-on-year. This means that in a single month, South Korea imported as much as RMB 400 million worth of e-cigarettes from China, totaling more than 2,000 tons, roughly comparable to Germany.
