In order to fully prevent and combat illegal activities related to e-cigarettes, the Guangming Street in Shenzhen recently launched a special campaign in conjunction with various community police offices to inspect and regulate e-cigarettes. Anti-drug personnel conducted special inspections and educational outreach for registered and licensed enterprises and retail stores in the area, strictly preventing e-cigarettes containing illegal addictive substances such as nitrosamines from entering the market, minimizing social harm, and maintaining social stability and the health and safety of residents in the area.During the operation, staff visited e-cigarette enterprises and retail points one by one, focusing on checking the business scope of production enterprises' business licenses and the validity of tobacco monopoly licenses, ensuring a clear understanding of the situation. They organized discussions with the production and operation leaders of enterprises and shops, signed anti-drug commitment letters for e-cigarette production and operation, and registered sales personnel information to promote the implementation of anti-drug responsibilities by enterprises and venues, standardizing the production and operation order of the e-cigarette industry, and ensuring that unqualified and substandard e-cigarette products are eliminated at the source of production, distribution channels, and retail stores. At the same time, staff also distributed anti-drug promotional materials and posted anti-drug posters for e-cigarettes, educating the legal representatives of e-cigarette enterprises and operators of e-cigarette shops on how to distinguish between “high-nicotine e-cigarettes” and regular e-cigarettes, as well as the health hazards of using “high-nicotine e-cigarettes.” They warned manufacturers and sales points against selling e-cigarettes to minors, urging them to remain vigilant against “high-nicotine e-cigarettes” and enhance their ability to identify, prevent, and reject drugs.Guangming Street will work with various departments to steadily advance the special campaign to inspect and regulate the illegal addition of addictive substances in e-cigarettes, regularly carry out anti-drug publicity for nitrosamine e-cigarettes, continuously strengthen e-cigarette supervision, and strictly prevent e-cigarettes containing illegal addictive substances from entering the market, safeguarding the health and safety of residents in the area.
