Florida Vape Shop Shut Down for Selling Cannabis Vapes to Minors
A vape shop in Lake Butler, Florida, has been shut down for allegedly selling cannabis vapes to minors. The 19-year-old owner was arrested, and police discovered e-liquids containing illegal substances. This incident has raised significant concern among law enforcement and the community.
According to Action News Jax on October 6, a vape shop in Florida was raided by police for illegally selling drugs to minors, and the owner has been charged with three counts.
The Union County Sheriff's Office reported that a tobacco shop named "Smoke Paradise" near Lake Butler was selling cannabis and cannabis vapes. Police launched a raid that morning. A statement from the police indicated that surveillance evidence showed illegal drug transactions at the shop, including the unlawful sale of e-cigarettes containing cannabis and cannabis oil.
The arrested owner, Jay Rami, only 19 years old, admitted to selling drugs to several minors. Rami has been charged with three counts, including one count of trafficking in cannabis, one count of selling cannabis, and one count of selling synthetic cannabis.
Union County Sheriff Brad Whitehead stated, "In Union County, we will not tolerate the sale of illegal drugs to our children."
