Doctors warn that vapes may pose cancer risks to the human body, as even so-called "harmless" vape liquids can transform into harmful compounds during the heating process. Experts point out that vapes lack filters, leading to the inhalation of more harmful substances, which may result in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, and other diseases, and may also severely impact oral health, increasing the risk of stroke.

Recently, Russian television (RT) reported that although the research on vapes and their effects on the human body is not yet fully conclusive, doctors have sounded the alarm for potential risks of lung cancer and oral cancer. Dr. Anastasia Maryenko, manager of the European Oncology Department, issued this warning in an interview with RT.

Anastasia explained that cigarette smoke contains a large number of free radicals, which, when entering the respiratory tract, disrupt the balance between antioxidants and pro-oxidants in the body. This disruption may lead to the release of inflammatory mediators and damage to the cell membranes of lung tissues. "This damage may have serious consequences, promoting chronic diseases of the respiratory system, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer, all of which also apply to vapes," the expert warned.

While some may believe that the components of vape liquids seem harmless, this is not the case. When heated, they may transform into other compounds that could damage DNA and promote cancer development. Worse still, due to the lack of filters in vapes, more harmful substances enter the body when vaping, Anastasia added.
