[2FIRSTS reporting from Seoul, South Korea] The Global Tobacco & Nicotine Forum 2023 (GTNF) opened today in Seoul, South Korea. The theme of this year’s forum is “Change the conversation. Change the outcome.” Entrepreneurs, experts, and multiple government officials from across the global tobacco sector have gathered in Seoul for three days of in-depth communication and exchange to advance global tobacco harm reduction and explore innovation and the future direction of the industry.
Under this year’s theme, the forum features multiple topics for in-depth discussion from various perspectives. Industry issues to be explored include youth smoking prevention, the global regulatory environment, sustainable development and environmental protection, communication strategies for nicotine products, and future R&D, all aimed at addressing the challenges facing the industry and identifying future development opportunities.
