Brian A. King said that earlier generations of nicotine products were not effective in helping adults quit smoking. In recent years, many innovative e-cigarette products have emerged, and these products can help adult smokers quit. The FDA is very supportive of this kind of innovation and will work to adapt to these changes and help innovative e-cigarette products enter the U.S. market.
