British Entrepreneur Wins Recognition for Tackling Vaping in Schools
British entrepreneur Simon Hassett from Southampton has been nominated for the 2023 UK Outstanding Entrepreneur Award for his work in addressing the issue of vaping in schools.
According to a report by dailyecho on September 14, Simon Hassett, the founder of VapeGuardian, a company focused on manufacturing and supplying e-cigarette detection devices, will attend the award ceremony in London this November.
To tackle the issue of students using e-cigarettes in schools, Hassett first sold e-cigarette detection devices last October. This device is currently being used in several schools in Hampshire.
VapeGuardian is committed to changing the risks associated with e-cigarette use among young people. The system has been implemented in 237 schools across the UK, with 80% of schools receiving alert notifications within the first week.
