Sichuan Jiang’an Issues Notice Prohibiting Tobacco Advertising, Including E-Cigarettes

To further promote our county's efforts to create a national civilized city and consolidate the work related to becoming a national sanitary city, and to further regulate the publication of tobacco advertisements, creating a clear and orderly advertising market environment, the Jiang'an County Market Supervision Administration hereby reminds and warns regarding the publication of tobacco advertisements as follows:

1. It is prohibited to publish tobacco (including e-cigarette) advertisements in mass media or public places, public transportation, and outdoors.

2. It is prohibited to publish tobacco (including e-cigarette) advertisements on the internet.

3. It is prohibited to send any form of tobacco (including e-cigarette) advertisements to minors.

4. It is prohibited to use advertisements for other goods or services, or public service advertisements, to promote tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) names, trademarks, packaging, decoration, and similar content.

5. Tobacco product (including e-cigarette) producers or sellers' announcements regarding relocation, name changes, recruitment, etc., must not contain tobacco product (including e-cigarette) names, trademarks, packaging, decoration, and similar content. All tobacco product (including e-cigarette) operators and advertising market entities must always strengthen their responsibility to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

The Jiang'an County Market Supervision Administration will continue to strengthen monitoring and regulation of tobacco, tobacco products, and disguised tobacco advertisements (including e-cigarettes and other new tobacco product advertisements). All illegal tobacco advertisements published in mass media, public places, public transportation, and outdoors must be immediately removed, suspended, or stopped. Any illegal advertisements found during monitoring inspections will be severely dealt with according to the law.
