It is understood that a truck attempting to enter Turkey through the Kapikule customs was assessed as "high risk". The X-ray scan revealed suspicious density, and the vehicle was subsequently taken to a hangar for a physical search.

During the search, customs enforcement personnel seized a total of 18,600 e-cigarettes, 860 pods, and 5,200 atomizers, which were not declared to customs. The Edirne Prosecutor's Office in Turkey is still investigating the incident.
