Turkish customs seize more than 22,000 vaping products with a total value of RMB 4.84 million

The Turkish Ministry of Trade announced that during an inspection of a truck at the Hamzabeyli border crossing in Turkey, smuggled vaping products and auto parts worth 17.719 million Turkish lira were discovered.
According to Turkish media DHA, the Ministry of Trade announced that during an inspection of a truck imported from Romania at the Hamzabeyli border crossing, smuggled vaping products and auto parts worth 17.719 million Turkish lira (approximately 4.84 million RMB) were found.
According to the statement from the Ministry of Trade, customs officers stationed at the Hamzabeyli border crossing inspected a truck that claimed to be carrying plastic wall panels, but the actual cargo did not match the customs declaration. During the search, a total of 22,550 vaping devices and 250 bottles of e-liquid, as well as 68 auto parts, including transmissions, truck engines, cylinder heads, differentials, and radiators, were seized.

The customs department estimates that the total market value of these smuggled goods reached 17.72 million Turkish lira.
It is reported that the prosecution has launched an investigation into this incident.
