US vaping imports reached US$68.96 million in June, down 21.4% month-on-month

According to data from the U.S. Trade Commission, the import data for U.S. e-cigarettes in June 2023 has been released.
The data shows that U.S. e-cigarette imports in June 2023 amounted to $68.96 million (approximately 503 million RMB), a decrease of 21.4% compared to May, but an increase of 8.99% compared to June of the previous year.
In terms of quantity, the U.S. imported 46.607 million e-cigarettes in June, which is an increase of 108.81% compared to June of the previous year and a 17.55% increase compared to May of this year.
The average import price of e-cigarettes in June was $1.12 per unit, a decrease of 10.2% month-on-month. (Note: This data is based on customs statistics for units counted as "pieces" and does not include statistics for units counted as "kilograms"; it is for reference only.)
In June, the main sources of U.S. e-cigarette imports were China (77%) and Indonesia (22.2%). The main import ports were Chicago (58.9%), Norfolk (17.8%), Charlotte (7.9%), Los Angeles (6.3%), and Savannah (6.0%).
