French Prime Minister Announces Ban on Disposable Vapes, but Effective Date Has Not Yet Been Release
In an exclusive interview on September 3, French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced plans to ban the sale of disposable e-cigarettes.

According to reports from French media RTL, during the interview, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced plans to ban the sale of disposable e-cigarettes. Former Health Minister François Braun had already expressed the idea of banning such products back in May of last year.
Elisabeth Borne stated that this measure will be included in the upcoming national anti-smoking plan.
Elisabeth Borne did not disclose the effective date of the ban. According to previous reports, French lawmakers submitted a bill to ban e-cigarettes on July 12, with plans to pass the law by the end of this year.
According to data from the anti-tobacco alliance, disposable e-cigarette products are much cheaper than cigarettes (up to 10 euros cheaper), and 13% of teenagers aged 13-16 have tried using disposable e-cigarettes. Elisabeth Borne believes that these products lead young people to develop bad habits: "They lead young people to develop bad habits. This is how they start smoking."
