Peak Season Here Yet? July Vaping Exports Reached RMB 6.639 Billion

Bright Prospects for Overseas Markets<\/strong><\/p>

The export trade data for e-cigarettes<\/strong> in July 2023 has been released. According to the General Administration of Customs, the export value of China's e-cigarette products<\/strong> (including e-cigarettes and similar personal vaporization devices, as well as other non-combustible nicotine products) reached 6.639 billion RMB (6,639,199,125 RMB).<\/p>

In June of this year, the export value of China's e-cigarette products was 6.575 billion RMB (6,575,082,718 RMB), showing a month-on-month increase of 0.97% in July;<\/p>

In July last year, the export value of China's e-cigarette products was 5.783 billion RMB (5,782,626,335 RMB), indicating a year-on-year increase of 14.81% in July this year.<\/p>

DKECE has learned that the first test of the "land and air transportation business for electronic vaporization" between Shenzhen and Hong Kong has been successful. A batch of electronic vaporization products departed from the Shenzhen Qianhai Comprehensive Bonded Zone and were quickly cleared through customs at the Shenzhen Bay Port using the "cross-border lock" rapid customs clearance model, arriving directly at Hong Kong International Airport.<\/p>

This is the first batch of goods originating from the mainland since Hong Kong officially approved the "sea and air" transportation of electronic vaporization on June 9. The cooperation between the customs of Shenzhen and Hong Kong has achieved seamless customs clearance through the practical application of the "cross-border lock" rapid customs clearance model, successfully extending the functions of Hong Kong International Airport and international cargo warehouses to the Shenzhen regulatory area, greatly improving customs clearance efficiency, reducing costs, and facilitating cross-border trade.<\/p>

The "cross-border lock" rapid customs clearance reform connects the mainland's "cross-border rapid customs clearance" reform with Hong Kong's "multi-modal transport convenience plan for goods". Under this model, the customs of Shenzhen and Hong Kong collaborate deeply, utilizing law enforcement assistance and information sharing, combined with technologies such as satellite positioning internet and direct connection at checkpoints, to achieve automatic and rapid clearance of goods at the port. The successful application of this model in the electronic vaporization land and air linkage business will have a positive impact on promoting the development of electronic vaporization export trade.<\/p>

On the other hand, the convenience of electronic vaporization exports also signifies that competition for market share overseas is becoming more intense. Compared to the relatively stable markets in Europe and America, the Southeast Asian region, with its younger population structure and faster economic development, may deserve more attention from domestic electronic vaporization brands!<\/p>
