South Korea's Vaping Imports Decline?
On August 20, it was reported that according to data released by South Korean customs, the import value of various types of e-cigarettes in July 2023 was $14.49 million, a year-on-year increase of 0.67% but a month-on-month decrease of 17.58%; the weight was 162.6 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.45% and a month-on-month decrease of 8.45%; the average price was $89.11 per kilogram, a year-on-year increase of 2.15% but a month-on-month decrease of 9.98%.

In July, China was the largest importer of e-cigarettes to South Korea, with an import value of $8.46 million, accounting for 58.41% of total imports, with an import weight of 116.3 tons and an average import price of $72.77 per kilogram. The second largest importer was Vietnam, with an import value of $5.31 million, accounting for 36.65% of total imports, with an import weight of 38.3 tons and an average import price of $138.64 per kilogram. The third largest importer was Malaysia, with an import value of $642,000, accounting for 4.43% of total imports, with an import weight of 7.2 tons and an average import price of $89.17 per kilogram.
