Argentina calls for easing e-cigarette restrictions?

According to news on August 20, the Argentine e-cigarette association has recently questioned the government’s policy on regulating e-cigarettes, calling for an independent regulatory framework rather than treating them the same as traditional tobacco products.

Association president Juan Facundo Teme believes that e-cigarette use has been stigmatized in Argentina. He urged the government to study regulatory frameworks in countries such as the UK, and asked, “Why is the only option in Latin America a ban?”
