Latest UK Market Data: 4.7 Million Adults Vape, 31% Use Disposables

The report analyzes adult behaviors and attitudes towards e-cigarettes and how these opinions and actions have changed over time. ASH has been collecting this data since 2020, and the latest survey was conducted in February and March this year.

-In 2023, 9.1% of British adults, approximately 4.7 million people, are using e-cigarettes. The usage rate will increase 0.8 percentage points from 2022, a record high

- 27% of smokers have never tried an e-cigarette
-The main reasons are not wanting to replace one addiction with another (20%), concerns about safety (14%)
-Another 13% do not believe e-cigarettes can help quit smoking

-Fruity (47%), mint (17%), tobacco (12%)
-Quitting smokers prefer mint, and smokers prefer fruity
