The Indian Ministry of Health has issued warnings to 15 websites selling e-cigarettes, ordering them to cease the sale and promotion of e-cigarette products. The names of the websites mentioned have not been disclosed.

The Ministry stated that if these websites do not comply with the law, they will face legal consequences. Additionally, the Indian government is monitoring another six websites that may soon receive notifications as well.

The Ministry is monitoring online media to ensure that no one violates the e-cigarette ban implemented in 2019.

Currently, four websites have acknowledged this warning and taken action, while the remaining websites have not yet responded. According to the Indian Information Technology Act and/or the E-Cigarette Prohibition Act, websites that fail to respond within 36 hours may face fines.
