Huangshan Police Crack Counterfeit Vape Manufacturing and Sales Case Worth Over 2 Million Yuan
Recently, the Forest Police Brigade of the Huizhou Branch of Huangshan Public Security Bureau cracked a counterfeit vaping device manufacturing and sales case involving more than 2 million yuan. Police arrested three suspects, successfully dismantled a counterfeit vaping device production and sales chain, shut down three storage sites and three illegal sales outlets, and seized more than 2,000 boxes of “non-national-standard” electronic pods.
In June this year, during a joint enforcement inspection, the Huizhou Branch of Huangshan Public Security Bureau and the Huizhou District Tobacco Bureau discovered that a shop in the area was selling fruit-flavored electronic pods. Testing confirmed that the product was “non-national-standard.” The Tobacco Bureau then transferred the lead to the Forest Police Brigade of the Huizhou Branch for criminal investigation. After investigation, police determined that the batch of pods came from a city in Shanxi Province. As officers dug deeper, a nationwide sales chain for “non-national-standard” electronic pods emerged, originating in Guizhou and spreading across more than ten provinces.

Through analysis and case assessment, police identified Yin and Yu from Guizhou Province, as well as Yuan from Shanxi Province, as major suspects.

Police drove thousands of kilometers and split into multiple teams, successfully apprehending the three suspects in Shanxi, Guizhou, and other locations.

At present, compulsory measures have been taken against the three suspects, and the case is still under further investigation.
