Ignoring the Ban, Two People in Nanchang’s Donghu District Are Sentenced for Selling New-Style Vapin
In recent years, e-cigarettes have become a "trendy toy" for many young people.
However, on October 1, 2022,
the "Mandatory National Standards for E-Cigarettes"
and the "E-Cigarette Management Measures" clearly stipulate
the sale of flavored e-cigarettes other than tobacco flavor is prohibited.
However, driven by profit,
illegal vendors take risks to reap huge profits.
Recently,
the Donghu police cracked two cases of selling counterfeit products.
Two suspects were arrested.
The amount involved reached over one million yuan.

In early May, the Donghu police received a tip from the tobacco bureau that merchants were selling a large number of new-style e-cigarettes that were explicitly prohibited by the state. These e-cigarettes had no production name, no production address, no health license code, and even lacked ingredient labels, posing a serious threat to health.
The sub-bureau immediately dispatched elite police forces to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the case. After analysis, investigation, and surveillance, the police arrested the suspects Fan and Huang.

In the warehouse where the suspects stored e-cigarettes, police seized a large number of counterfeit e-cigarettes, tobacco sticks, and smoking devices, with a total value exceeding one million yuan. Among them, suspect Huang sold through WeChat and delivered via express and errand services, with an amount involved of over 180,000 yuan and illegal profits of over 60,000 yuan.

Currently, the two have been criminally detained for the crime of producing and selling counterfeit products.
