After investigation, the man, surnamed Feng, admitted that he was craving nicotine during the flight. After noticing there were no passengers around his seat, he took a chance and started using his e-cigarette. Even after crew members noticed he was carrying an e-cigarette and reminded him that vaping is not allowed on airplanes, he ignored their warning and continued vaping until nearby passengers reported him. The crew then stopped him and called the police. After questioning by officers, Feng fully confessed to his illegal conduct and said he deeply regretted his actions. In accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security, Capital Airport police imposed a seven-day administrative detention penalty on Feng.

Recently, the Capital Airport West District Police Station has received multiple reports of passengers vaping on board, and all have been handled according to law. Capital Airport police remind all travelers that, under the Law of the People's Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security, vaping in an aircraft cabin is illegal. Passengers should not take chances while traveling. If you encounter a similar situation on board, please immediately inform the crew to help maintain a safe and orderly flight environment.
