Xinji TV: Strong Action to Cut Off the Black Hand Behind Vaping Devices
To strengthen the regulation of the e-cigarette market
And effectively protect the healthy growth of minors
Recently, the Municipal Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, in conjunction with
the Public Security Bureau, Market Supervision Administration, Education Bureau, and other departments
lawfully rectified the sale of e-cigarettes to minors
Inspectors conducted on-site visits
and checked 5 stores near the Cultural Corridor
and found 4 stores selling e-cigarettes illegally
and seized over 1,350 e-cigarettes and counterfeit cigarettes.

It is understood that
the mandatory national standards for e-cigarettes
officially came into effect on October 1, 2022
and e-cigarette regulation
has transitioned into a new phase of normalized regulation.

Flavored e-cigarettes
and e-cigarettes that allow the addition of vaporizing substances
are completely banned from sale.

Our city continues to increase
efforts to clean up and rectify the sale of e-cigarettes to minors
and severely crack down on illegal activities related to e-cigarettes.

Strengthening inspections of licensed e-cigarette holders
and merchants around campuses
and intensifying the cleanup efforts against non-standard e-cigarettes such as "milk tea cups" and "cola cans"
to ensure that illegal e-cigarette sales around campuses are completely "zeroed out".

Deputy Director of the Municipal Tobacco Monopoly Bureau Liu Wenli: "The harm of e-cigarettes is the same as that of traditional cigarettes; long-term use can lead to addiction. We will continue to strengthen the regulation of e-cigarettes to protect the healthy growth of young people."
