FUUMY Maple Leaf Atomizer Review
Unknowingly, users of electronic cigarettes have changed dramatically. From the initial devices resembling cigarettes to the current all-in-one e-cigarettes, small airflow atomizers, high-power mods, and dripping atomizers, the market has gradually stabilized. Users accustomed to flavor-focused small airflow atomizers may quickly be attracted to dripping, while those used to large vapor may not adapt well when switching back to small airflow atomizers.<\/p>
Most of the atomizers appearing in the e-cigarette community are dual-coil dripping atomizers. I wonder when we will see a product that can rival the era of the "Five-in-a-Row". Speaking of dripping atomizers, we must mention the currently more popular "MINI-type" dripping atomizers.
With a compact appearance, sufficient vapor, and prominent flavor, they are favored by many new and old players. After the BF mod introduced its "popularity" to the domestic market, most atomizers have been inspired by "bottom-filling" designs, showcasing their strengths.
The Fuumy team is no exception, having produced several mechanical mods and devices, always aiming for "player exclusivity" in their creations. However, after several rounds of bombardment, there seems to be a hint of "retreating", but that is not the case; these "80s boys" are actually conducting market research and final adjustments on their new "mysterious atomizer".
This atomizer is called the "MAPLE LEAF RDA", a name full of meaning. Upon receiving the sample from the Fuumy team, I began my "research journey". Its advantages are quite obvious, but there are also some minor shortcomings that need improvement.

- Packaging -
The packaging of the Maple Leaf atomizer is quite ordinary, with a cumbersome top and bottom cover design that requires a combination of "flipping" and "clipping" to remove. The front features the "Fuumy" logo and the English name of the Maple Leaf atomizer, while the side has a QR code and anti-counterfeiting coating. The back displays the official website, logo, and prohibition icons. Inside the packaging, there is one Maple Leaf atomizer, one accessory pack, and one spare glass chamber.
In terms of atomizer structure, the accessory pack only contains a single cross screwdriver, which seems a bit lacking. Replacing it with a dual-use screwdriver would enhance the user experience. The Maple Leaf atomizer has a compact appearance, standing 27mm tall, making it quite MINI among 24mm diameter atomizers. It comes in black and stainless steel colors, distinguishable from the upper right corner of the outer packaging. The mouthpiece is relatively large, with a visible window in the middle, featuring a lightly corroded maple leaf pattern, and the original color logo at the bottom. The base uses gold-plated electrodes, and the included model has a bottom-filling electrode screw that can be replaced with the accessory pack.
- Accessory Analysis -
The atomizer can be disassembled into five components: mouthpiece, top cap, outer chamber, glass chamber, and base. The mouthpiece is wide and uses a universal 810 interface, allowing for easy replacement. It is made of stainless steel and PEI materials, with a layer of stainless steel on the upper part of the PEI material. The design effectively balances heat insulation and aesthetics, which is a well-considered decision. Although the mouthpiece is large, it adopts an "inverted funnel" design for condensation treatment. However, based on usage, noticeable condensation at the mouthpiece can create a psychological gap.
The chamber consists of the top cap, outer chamber, and glass chamber. The top cap is quite simple, designed only to accommodate the mouthpiece and connect with the outer chamber.
It uses a "rotating" design rather than an "integrated" or "direct connection" style. I believe there are two reasons for this. First, it enhances user engagement and aesthetics; second, it encourages users to minimize removing the top cap, which slightly aids in cleaning. The outer chamber is interesting, with a slightly compact design featuring a large visible window that almost covers the entire circumference, playing a crucial role in observing the remaining e-liquid on the cotton inside the chamber. The outer layer has a lightly corroded maple leaf appearance and the Fuumy logo. In contrast to previous designs, the outer chamber of the Maple Leaf atomizer has the Fuumy team's motto printed on the other side.
The airflow holes are located lower down, making it a bottom-airflow atomizer. The base has a diameter of 22mm, and with the outer chamber, it measures 24mm. For better replacement of components and adjustment of positions, both the positive and negative electrodes of the base can be disassembled. The base has five components, making cleaning the atomizer more straightforward, but I do not recommend the cumbersome steps; it’s better to approach it with a relaxed mindset. The threading holes for the positive and negative electrodes are not very large, compatible with most wires available on the market.
The screws used to secure the heating wire are recessed cross screws, which not only solve the problem of slipping with hex screws but also prevent the "stripping" that can occur with excessive force on cross screws. I personally tested it, and even with excessive force, I did not find much "stripping" occurring.
The black version of the base is fully gold-plated, and both color options for the atomizer use gold plating for the electrodes, enhancing stability. The sloped airflow on both sides will slightly elevate the flavor. The bottom of the base is also laser-etched with the Fuumy team logo. Due to the popularity of "fancy wires", more users choose to use convenient fancy wires. However, fancy wires may not be very friendly to MINI-type atomizers, requiring careful measurement of wire lengths, which tests the user's "handicraft skills". Because it is a MINI-type atomizer, I do not recommend using wires with many turns or wide widths; instead, I recommend using simple wires or small fancy wires.
Summary
After testing, I received quite satisfactory feedback on the flavor parameters of the Maple Leaf atomizer. Using small fancy wires with a resistance in the 0.2 range or 0.5 diameter, 2.5 turns, and 6 turns produced a satisfying flavor.
The flavor of MINI-type atomizers is quite concentrated, and the vapor bursts quickly into the mouth, providing a strong "direct sensation" of the e-liquid flavor. The compact Maple Leaf atomizer, due to its MINI structure, places the heating wire lower down, making it very friendly to BF mods, especially when paired with a quick-filling BF mod like the Petri, the friendliness increases instantly. A light press on the bottle for one to two seconds can fully saturate the cotton. The interpretation of flavor has its unique angle, and the visible window can reduce the frequency of removing the atomizer's outer chamber, enhancing convenience.
The Maple Leaf atomizer produced by Fuumy is one of the most compact yet exquisite atomizers I have encountered this year. I am very satisfied with its appearance and flavor, but the exterior is somewhat prone to dirt. Since this review product is a sample, there are slight flaws in the paint treatment, which will be corrected in the subsequent official version release. #p#分页标题#e#
