It seems that the foreign pragmatic approach is quite effective. Although the packaging is not impressive, even inferior to the three-no products piled up in domestic markets, when you open the box and see the SANDMAN, I believe you will exclaim just like I did: so~beautiful! The SANDMAN is no exception, adopting a downward cut similar to a tiger's mouth, which allows for a comfortable grip as the thumb fits perfectly into the cutout.
Of course, a good feel is inseparable from the mod's paint finish. The SANDMAN features a matte spray paint process that significantly increases friction with the palm, solving the slippery grip issue and giving the SANDMAN an excellent texture and wear resistance.
The 510 connector at the top of the mod is very neat, and the concave-convex treatment effectively prevents the atomizer from getting stuck. Based on the wear observed on the top paint surface after several days of connecting atomizers, it remains intact, indicating that the wear resistance of this paint is not just a rumor.

Let's install a wick and see the effect. As seen in the image, the heating wire is no longer placed horizontally but is instead vertically oriented, which is absolutely different. As for the wick installation, it is a bit challenging but not too difficult; it requires some patience. The half-open wick holes support both braided and plain wicks. When using plain wicks, due to the length requirements of the electrode posts and to ensure explosive output and flavor, it is recommended to use a loose wrap, achieving a resistance of around 0.2Ω. Locking the wick is quite convenient, and it holds the wick securely. Here, it is important to emphasize that when trimming excess wire, it should be done cleanly; otherwise, it may lead to short-circuiting issues.
In fact, the biggest challenge of using vertical wicks may be shaping the heating wire, as the three cylindrical objects can affect the operation, but carefulness can solve everything.
Using vertical wicks is very friendly, and there are no strict requirements for the length of the cotton; no thinning is necessary. Remember that the top end of the cotton should be placed into the side oil storage chamber. The reason for designing a separate oil storage chamber is mainly to avoid dry burning issues caused by insufficient oil soaking at the top of the cotton, and there is also a deep oil groove for assurance, making the overall oil storage capacity quite considerable.
Once everything is ready, it's time to place the O-ring PEI. There are no special requirements for placement; it just needs to fit in. At this point, it is clear that the O-ring PEI not only allows external airflow to directly reach the heating wire but also reduces the atomization space, thus providing an outstanding flavor performance.
Of course, outstanding flavor is inseparable from reasonable airflow. The three airflow holes on the side of the O-ring PEI can achieve a side direct blow effect on the heating wire, and this triangular airflow design allows the vertical heating wire to obtain a more perfect airflow to enhance flavor.
