Aspire ZQ VI Pod System Review

This review focuses on the VI Pod System by ZQ, which I simply refer to as the VI pod device. The packaging is a white drawer-style box with a line illustration of the device on the front. The back lists the contents and highlights that it was designed by
The focus of this review is the VI POD System from ZQ, which I understand to be the VI pod device.

1. Packaging

The packaging is a white cardboard drawer box, with a line drawing of the VI pod device on the front.

The back contains a description of the contents, prominently stating in orange-yellow font that it is designed by Aspire, a well-known company that has produced a series of classic e-cigarette products like the Nautilus X.

Inside the package, you will find: a certificate of compliance, a multilingual instruction manual including Chinese, a syringe-style refill bottle, a USB charging cable, and the pod device itself.
Aspire ZQ VI POD SYSTEM review I would like to mention that the instruction manual is very concise and clear, detailing the size, pod capacity, battery capacity, power resistance, etc., so I won't go into each detail.

2. Product Appearance

The front of the pod device features a brushed stainless steel frame, with a gunmetal color as the main hue and black faux leather accents, with the power button located near the tail end.

The back of the device has a gunmetal finish that is spray-painted, so it won't leave fingerprints.

The compact pod and mouthpiece are comfortable to use.

The mini-USB charging port at the tail end requires a firm connection to charge, which might be a unique issue with my device.

The structure is quite simple, mainly divided into two parts: the pod and the body.

From the image below, you can see the electrodes and magnetic connection of the pod and body.

4. User Experience

The image below shows the official situation; this pod device is not expensive, costing around 100 RMB, which is truly a great value.

Special thanks to the provider of this review item, "Wuzai," who also sent me four bottles of e-liquid along with the pod, which is quite rare in pod reviews. Two bottles of 30ml are 0mg, which I plan to use with a vaporizer, or mix with nicotine salt liquid before using. The two smaller bottles have a lot of Japanese writing, with one being 3%, or 30mg. This image also shows that the VI pod is quite compact.

For this review, I used LOMEX's classic tobacco and rich cigar e-liquids, as I have previously reviewed these and know their flavors; I will savor the new liquids from Wuzai later.

The first impression when vaping is that the vapor production is really large! It even rivals that of mouth-to-lung vaporizers, making it very enjoyable. The e-liquid flavor is well-extracted and true to its essence; both tobacco flavors are distinct, especially the rich cigar, which has a strong tobacco taste. The VI pod is compact, comfortable to hold, and the mouthpiece feels great, unlike some other pods that may look small but have awkward mouthpieces.

The VI pod has two modes: constant voltage and full output, with little difference in actual experience; in full output mode when fully charged, the vapor seems slightly larger, perhaps just a psychological effect.

The power button on the VI pod not only turns the device on and off and switches output modes but also serves as a firing button. It features both a draw-activated switch and a manual firing button, which is excellent. I have several draw-activated pods, and currently, half of them are difficult to draw from, but the VI's two modes can serve as a backup guarantee.

With a 2ml pod capacity and a 650mAh battery capacity, the battery life is decent. I vaped for half a day, and after a short charge, the red light turned white, with some e-liquid still remaining.
Aspire ZQ VI POD SYSTEM review 5. Overall Evaluation

Highlights:

1. Large vapor production, rivaling mouth-to-lung vaporizers.

2. Excellent flavor extraction and true-to-taste.

3. Two output modes for different needs.

4. Both draw-activated switch and manual firing button ensure vapor production.

5. Short circuit protection for safety and reliability.

6. Simple and compact design, comfortable to hold.

Overall Evaluation:

The ZQ VI pod is compact, comfortable to hold, produces large vapor, has excellent flavor extraction, offers two output modes for different needs, and the firing button can serve as a backup for the draw-activated switch, with short circuit protection for safety and reliability. In 2018, pod devices have truly emerged in a dazzling array!
