IJOY Diamond E-Cigarette Review
As users demand longer battery life, more brands have introduced mods powered by 20700 batteries. Today’s featured device is also a dual-battery mod using 20700 cells. IJOY is already a well-known manufacturer, and this time we got their new Diamond PD270
As players demand longer battery life, more and more manufacturers are launching devices that use 20700 batteries. Today, I will introduce a dual-battery device that also uses 20700.
IJOY can be considered a major manufacturer. This time I got their new model, the Diamond PD270, a device called Diamond. This device uses a 20700 battery and thoughtfully includes a conversion sleeve from 18650 to 20700, so users do not have to spend extra money. From the following pictures, you can see that the overall design of the box adopts a multi-faceted cutting process similar to that of a diamond. The front features a display screen, and the back has a diamond logo.
The main functions include:
NI / TI / SS temperature control
Resistance recognition function
Unique custom user mode
Resistance range: 0.05 ~ 3.0 ohms
It has all the basic commonly used functions, and the resistance recognition feature is very friendly for beginners who are unsure of what wattage to use for different resistances.
Supporting a minimum resistance of 0.05 also meets the needs of those beginners who pursue low resistance and large vapor after advancing.
It supports a maximum of 234W, which is more than sufficient.
The user-defined mode allows users to set how many watts to push every 0.5 seconds according to their usage habits, providing a better experience.
The dimensions of the box are: 92 * 49 * 34.5 mm
This size can be said to have reached the extreme of a 20700 dual-battery device. The overall box feels particularly comfortable and light in hand. For someone like me who is used to heavier devices, this is quite a pleasant surprise. It is worth mentioning that the feedback from the fire button is excellent! Although this does not affect the use of the box, it greatly enhances the user experience!
There are still some minor drawbacks: some details of the box may not be very well done, such as the paint on the back of the battery cover being a bit careless (*≧m≦*)
This box can be powered on by pressing the fire button three times to enter the main menu, and five times to turn it on and off. There is no lock button setting, which means that when placed in a bag for safety, it needs to be turned off, and when wanting to use it, it requires pressing five times to turn it on. Although it powers on quickly, and it can still be fired during the startup screen, for someone who is used to locking, this is a slight regret.
Overall, this box can well suit a player from a beginner to an advanced level. It has a cool appearance, small size, light weight, excellent hand feel, great user experience, and low learning cost.
I am probably a bit of a jokester.
IJOY DIAMOND PD270 MOD
First of all, I would like to thank IJOY for choosing me to experience the IJOY Diamond 270 mod in the vast sea of people! To be honest, I was quite looking forward to it before receiving this box, after all, who wouldn't like a device with such high aesthetics? When the delivery arrived, I immediately tore open the tape with my hands (expressing my eagerness). Sure enough, the blue one looks great... I received the black one, all black, and I feel that the black color does not express the characteristics of this box. Why do I say this? Because this box is primarily designed with a diamond-cut style, and the black color completely obscures the diamond cutting aspect. It looks like a lump of black paint! Because its surface is transparent glass with diamond cutting, the black color completely overlaps with it! So the black color does not highlight the diamond cutting aspect! Of course, it still looks good, just not as prominent compared to other colors! The hand feel is still quite nice!
Now let's talk about the back cover, where the battery is installed. The lid has strong magnets, and the suction power is quite strong, so there is no need to worry about it falling out. However, it is a bit wobbly, and when using it, you can clearly feel that the fit is not very stable, a bit loose, but it definitely won't fall out! The mod is not too heavy; I think the weight is just right! Plus, I am using an 18650 battery with a conversion sleeve! I plan to buy a 20700 battery for use!
I am using an RTA atomizer with a resistance of 0.08, with the maximum set to 140W and the minimum to 40W. I found that around 80W feels the most comfortable! The vapor production is decent! Firing works without issues! My atomizer is black, and it looks particularly stylish when paired! It feels like they were sold as a set! I haven't tried other modes; I personally prefer the standard mode, as the other modes are quite useless for me! The data on the large screen is clear and easy to read!
During the two days of use, I discovered a problem: sometimes, even when the battery is fully charged or half-charged, adjusting the wattage above 80W shows a low voltage warning? I don't know why, but below 60W, there are no issues. This battery was a pair given to me by the seller when I bought an electronic cigarette! They are not a brand! Later, I switched to genuine Sony C6 batteries, and there were no problems! However, I used the other pair in another dual-battery device, and they worked perfectly! Could it really be my battery's issue? It's quite strange! Aside from this problem, everything else is fine! The user experience is still quite good!
I must praise the craftsmanship of this IJOY box! It is really excellent; the surface of the box is a combination of glass and rubber materials, so there is no need to worry about paint chipping! Moreover, I feel it should be quite drop-resistant! I am reluctant to test it, so I haven't!
