EXCEED EDGE Pod Kit Review

The EXCEED EDGE, which roughly translates to "Exceed the Edge," is a small vaping device produced by Shenzhen Zhuoyue Technology Co., Ltd., a sizable company.
1. Packaging
The packaging is a transparent plastic cylindrical container sealed with plastic film, with labels printed with the product name and manufacturer details.
Inside the package, you will find: a bilingual instruction manual, warranty card, warning card, spare rubber rings, a rubber plug, the main device, pods, and a charging cable, along with two atomizers.
2. Product Appearance
From the side, the manufacturer claims it resembles a sports car, especially with the tail lights that look like car tail lights.
The black part with "EXCEED EDGE" printed on it is the ignition button, which also serves to turn the device on and off with five quick presses.
3. Component Breakdown
A simple disassembly reveals three parts: the main device, the pod, and the atomizer.
The pod body, atomizer fixing ring, and atomizer (1.2Ω).
The pod with the atomizer installed.
4. User Experience
After filling it with e-liquid, I used my favorite flavor, Mango Slush 888, although I know it might not taste exactly right. After powering on, I took a puff, and the vapor production was larger than that of typical small devices, but the flavor had a noticeable artificial taste, and the true flavor of 888 was not represented.
It is said that there is a 0.25Ω atomizer, which might better extract the e-liquid's flavor, but that could lead to significant battery life issues. Continuing to vape, I slowly felt I could draw a little bit of something, whether it was condensation or e-liquid, just a tiny bit, but it was there.
The device is not light; to maintain battery life, a smaller battery is necessary. The image below shows it while charging.
5. Overall Evaluation
Highlights:
1. Compact and portable.
2. Vapor production is relatively large for a small device.
3. Nice design, especially the flat drip tip, which is very user-friendly.
4. Uses pre-installed atomizers, bridging the gap between small and large devices.
Critiques:
1. Still has an artificial flavor typical of small devices.
2. Can draw a trace amount of condensation or e-liquid.
3. Many small devices ignite with a puff; this one requires a button press, which is somewhat inconvenient.
Overall Evaluation:
The design is nice, compact, and portable, with substantial vapor production for a small device, featuring innovative pre-installed atomizers. However, it is limited by the "original sin" of small devices (the small size restricts power, leading to an artificial flavor profile). Unfortunately, it still has that artificial taste.
