Today, I will review a new product from Smok, the R-KISS KIT. Let's first take a look at its appearance.
The image above shows the SMOK logo, with the main device's color scheme in the center. Below is the model of the R-Kiss device, and on the side, there are simple instructions for downloading the app and information about the two types of coils. After removing the safety label on the packaging, you can clearly see the certification code, QR code, and barcode. On the back: the product's standard configuration, with English notes and some usage warnings. Opening the outer packaging reveals the details inside the box as follows:
Standard Configuration:
1x R-Kiss Device
1x TFV8 Baby V2 Atomizer
1x Baby V2 A2 0.2Ω
1x Baby V2 A1 0.17Ω
1x (replaceable glass tube, manual, USB)
Several spare O-rings
Product Parameters:
R-Kiss Device:
Dimensions: 44x28x77mm
Weight: 12.3g
Power: 6w--200w
Output Voltage: 0.5v-8.2v
Static Current: <500uA
Resistance Range: 0.1Ω—2.5Ω (power)
TFV8 Baby V2 Atomizer:
Dimensions: 30x54mm
Material: Stainless Steel
Capacity: 5ML
Battery Used: Dual 18650 High-Efficiency Batteries
From the parameters, we can see that the R-Kiss device is a dual 18650 powered device with a maximum power of 200W. It lacks temperature control and has no complicated features, making it a simple yet high-end kit. The body is painted with a TFT screen, which is practical and scratch-resistant, though I find it a bit slippery. The overall design is quite balanced, with perfect proportions. The blue appearance gives a calm and dignified feeling, and the ergonomic design is very good, providing a comfortable grip and convenient use.
The R-Kiss device continues the large fire button design from SMOK, which feels natural to press. The “-” and “+” buttons are located below the screen, and at the bottom is the USB port for charging and connecting to a computer for system upgrades.
The device uses a dual 18650 battery configuration, with the battery compartment located at the bottom of the device. The compartment cover uses a push-pull design, and opening it reveals the “-” and “+” terminals to prevent incorrect installation (the device won't turn on if installed incorrectly). The battery compartment is tight, preventing any movement or noise from the batteries colliding with the compartment.
Short pressing the “-” and “+” buttons will increase or decrease the power by 0.1W, while long pressing will change it by 1W. Pressing both “-” and “+” buttons simultaneously will change the color (remember to short press, long press won't work).
The top features a 510 connector. The LED display makes it easy to check parameter settings, power on/off; press the fire button five times to turn it on. There is no mode switching (it goes directly to the interface upon startup), and the top left corner displays four color options, followed by output mode, smoking effects, voltage, battery level, resistance, and other data clearly.
SMOK continues to use the TFV-MINI V2 atomizer in their large vapor kits. Many users may think that pre-filled products do not produce enough vapor compared to dripping, but there is a reason why this atomizer is chosen for many SMOK kits: first, the top of the atomizer has a press button that allows the top cap to slide open for refilling, which prevents losing the cap and greatly reduces the steps needed for refilling.
Next, regarding the coils, the kit comes with two coils: [A1 0.17Ω] and [A2 0.2Ω], which use a relatively rare multi-coil design on the market:
A1 mesh wire heats up faster, enhancing flavor.
A2 coil has two holes covered with snake-pattern steel mesh, providing more airflow and producing larger vapor.
Thus, the heart of the entire atomizer lies in this coil, which increases vapor production while retaining flavor. The airflow adjustment at the bottom can also adjust the draw resistance, which is why SMOK chooses this atomizer as the standard for most kits!
The design is thoughtful, the feel is comfortable, the use is smooth, and the shape is innovative. The official also offers five color options for the R-Kiss kit.
Overall, the R-Kiss device has a simple and elegant design, with a power output of 200W. Although it is compact, it does not lose to larger devices, and all data is clearly arranged for easy reading and understanding.
