Review of the GUN Group Obama stabilized wood squonk box mod

Bottom-feeding boxes are currently the most popular products in the vaping industry, with various types such as regulated, constant voltage, stable voltage, and mechanical. Among them, mechanical BF boxes hold the largest market share, followed by regulated BF boxes. Having explored atomizers, played with mechanical mods, and being obsessed with EDC and small accessories, Obama is a friend I met when I entered the electronic cigarette industry, and GUN is his personally operated brand. After the BF bottom-feeding box was recognized in the domestic market, Obama began to think about how to synchronize performance with aesthetics. We are quite familiar, and I know how important beauty is to him; he is unwilling to use unattractive devices and is not keen on products with poor performance.

Today’s review is of a mechanical BF box produced by Obama, the second product from the GUN brand, a stabilized wood bottom-feeding mechanical box. (Hereinafter referred to as: GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box)     The GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box comes in a drawstring bag made of suede, with a logo on the surface, and the quality of the leather is good. During daily use, the leather bag not only provides good protection for the box but also makes it convenient to carry the device.     Inside the packaging, in addition to the box, the manufacturer also includes two oil bottles with a full capacity of 8ml and a practical capacity of 7ml. The bottles are made of ordinary PC material, moderately soft and hard, but with limited lifespan and durability. The threaded part of the bottle is fitted with a rubber ring to prevent air and oil leakage at the connection.  GUN Group Obama Stabilized Wood Bottom-Feeding Box Review The GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box measures 78mm in length, 47mm in width, and 24mm in thickness, weighing 90g. The entire box is made of stabilized wood, with rounded corners, giving it a certain angular feel in hand but not uncomfortable; the grip is quite good.     The GUN bottom-feeding box is compact and lightweight, with exquisite craftsmanship on the anodized titanium panel. Choosing a non-repetitive feature for pairing is indeed not an easy task. Therefore, I discussed with Obama that the price of the GUN bottom-feeding box is very friendly; he hopes to set a price that is inversely proportional to its aesthetics to encourage users who like or have not yet tried stabilized wood products to give it a shot. However, based on the short-term feedback after its launch, players have treated the unknown before unboxing as a fun experience, much like a scratch-off lottery ticket.     The top 510 connector of the box is equipped with a PEEK insulating heat ring at the connection with the stabilized wood, which not only provides insulation but also prevents the stabilized wood at the 510 connector from cracking due to overheating. Additionally, the 510 connector is slightly higher than the top of the box, effectively preventing the atomizer from scratching the surface of the stabilized wood during assembly and disassembly.     The internal 510 connector features a self-adaptive BF electrode pin, which is usually compatible with most atomizers, but atomizers with excessively long electrode pins may encounter compatibility issues, such as with combat bases.     The switch of the GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box is made of stainless steel and has a mirror finish. Although it looks great, it is also a fingerprint magnet. The button has a moderate spring weight, a comfortable travel distance, and a strong rebound, making the button feel very pleasant to use. Turning the button clockwise locks it, preventing firing, which helps avoid accidental activation during daily carrying.     There is an internal hex screw at the bottom of the switch used to secure the internal conductive plate.     The quality and finish of the GUN BF Box's stabilized wood are quite good, with neat workmanship both inside and out. The gold-plated conductive components provide an efficient and stable current pathway for the box.     The oil bottle of the GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box is made of silicone and has been thickened, so the actual oil capacity is only about 4ml. Although the thickened oil bottle sacrifices some storage capacity, it offers a comfortable pressing experience and an easy, convenient disassembly experience.     The bottom of the GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box is embedded with a stainless steel component used to secure the internal conductive plate, which is printed with the phrase “this is should be like.”  GUN Group Obama Stabilized Wood Bottom-Feeding Box Review After two days of testing, I am quite satisfied with the performance of the GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box. It offers a comfortable grip and button feel; a stable connection with a highly compatible 510 connector; an efficient and stable current pathway; and a convenient disassembly experience with the thickened oil bottle. These are all excellent features of the GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box. Of course, no product is perfect, and the GUN Stabilized Wood BF Box has some minor flaws. The thick square oil bottle, while improving the pressing feel and ease of disassembly, has a storage capacity of only 4ml, which is somewhat...; the disassembly of the internal hardware components is relatively complicated, and some components cannot be disassembled, making daily maintenance and cleaning inconvenient.     Here are two small suggestions for Obama:     1. Instead of providing multiple 8ml BF box oil bottles, it would be better to include one 15-30ml dedicated BF box refill bottle, which would enhance the user experience.     2. Given that GUN boxes use such good materials, why adopt this ignition structure? Having personally experienced the iron piece striking the cylindrical electrode, it’s unfortunate that the contact point between the two components is very small. Not to mention conductivity, just the electrical arc from wear is enough to be a hassle. Other boxes have already increased the contact area for impact ignition, which would provide a more efficient, stable, and powerful current pathway.
