According to the Australian "The Age" newspaper, on the evening of October 3, the Australian Federal Police gathered at Melbourne Airport to wait for the TT565 flight from the Gold Coast, which this passenger was on. It is reported that the passenger used an e-cigarette in the cabin during the flight, drawing the attention of the crew, who then reported it. A spokesperson for Tigerair stated that the company has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of smoking on planes. The spokesperson also mentioned that the vapor emitted by e-cigarettes could offend other passengers and trigger smoke alarms.Federal police have confirmed the news, but due to the ongoing investigation, the police department is not in a position to comment further on the matter.
