Rage Squonk MOD Bottom-Feed Box Mod Review
This review focuses on the Rage Squonk MOD designed by Ohm Boy and DESIRE. Literally translated, the name is a bit unusual, but simply put, it is the Rage regulated squonk box mod. 1. Packaging: it comes in a white paper box with the squonk device printed
The target of this review is the Rage Squonk MOD designed by Ohm Boy and DESIRE, which translates directly to "Angry Squonker," simply put, it's an angry bottom-feed box mod.
1. Packaging
The white-themed box features an illustration of the bottom-feed box mod on the front, along with the designer's name and product name.
The back displays product specifications, such as using two 18650 batteries, output power of 5-155W, output voltage of 0-8V, minimum recognizable resistance of 0.08Ω, and temperature control range of 200-600 degrees Fahrenheit.
Included in the package: a certificate of conformity, a Chinese manual, a charging/data cable, and one bottom-feed box mod.
2. Product Showcase
The front of the Angry Box features an engraved inverted triangle logo and a window for squeezing the e-liquid pouch.
On the side, you can see the shallow groove where the back cover opens; from this angle, the opening of the e-liquid pouch window is not very deep. The entire device appears quite "sturdy."
The back features a magnetic arc cover.
On the control side, the top is the fire button, the middle is a 0.96-inch monochrome display, below are the adjustment buttons, and at the bottom is the charging/data interface.
On the top, it says OHM BOY.
On the bottom, you can see the bottom of the e-liquid pouch and the pull-out ring, as well as the pressure relief hole.
The e-liquid pouch.
Unscrewing the top cover of the e-liquid pouch reveals a long straw for filling the bottom with e-liquid.
3. User Experience
For this review, the first atomizer used was the Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain's Gale Atomizer, with a single 8-core Clapton coil wrapped 6 times, a diameter of 3.0, and a resistance of 0.41Ω, in power mode at 38W, using Mango Slush 888 e-liquid.
This box mod is easy to use, delivers powerful bursts, and fully supports the atomizer for continuous vapor production, resulting in rich and dense vapor with excellent flavor.
The control menu system of this box mod is quite unique; I made the following diagram, which should be clear to everyone:
Modes include power, titanium, stainless steel, nickel, TCR temperature control, bypass mode, etc., which are quite comprehensive.
The second atomizer used for this review was the MORPHR RDA, with a single 4-core Clapton coil wrapped 5 times, a diameter of 3.0, and a resistance of 0.16Ω, in power mode at 110W, using Mango Slush 888 e-liquid.
This time, the focus was on testing the high-power performance; the box mod performed exceptionally well, delivering rapid bursts and substantial vapor, quickly filling the room with clouds, with good flavor and full resolution.
After reviewing the manual, the Angry Box has a comprehensive range of protections, including overcurrent, overheating, low battery, low voltage, short circuit, reverse battery connection, and temperature control dry burn protections, ensuring safety and peace of mind.
4. Overall Evaluation
Highlights:
1. Simple and robust design, exuding a "masculine vibe."
2. Easy operation with comprehensive protections.
3. Quick bursts and sustained power.
4. Numerous modes, offering strong playability.
Drawbacks:
1. No significant drawbacks; if the display screen were larger or in color, it would be perfect.
Overall Evaluation:
The Rage Squonk MOD bottom-feed box mod features a simple design with a masculine touch, easy operation, comprehensive protections, numerous modes, quick bursts, and sustained power, making it an excellent bottom-feed box mod recently released.
