Does vaping give people the wrong impression? This seaside vape shop helps people quit smoking
A few months ago, a couple opened an e-cigarette shop called South Shore Vapor at 1548 Ocean Shore Boulevard in Ormond Beach, Florida.

This is their second store. Their first shop is also called South Shore Vapor, located on Long Island’s South Shore, even though the area is known as the “North Shore.”
Their store is designed for people who decide to use vaping as a way to quit smoking.
Owner John Siderius says vaping often gives people the wrong impression. In fact, 90% of his customers are trying to quit smoking. The rest are vaping enthusiasts who enjoy trying different flavors and make up only 10% of the market.
E-cigarettes are battery-powered devices used to inhale water vapor. They do not involve combustion and come in many different flavors. Nicotine can be added to the e-liquid, but whether it is included depends on the customer. If customers keep vaping and want to quit cigarettes, they can gradually reduce the nicotine level.

Siderius said people also bring their parents into the store because they have tried many ways to help them quit smoking, but none have worked.
However, due to new government regulations, his business may face trouble in the future. For example, Siderius may no longer be able to offer free samples to help customers decide which flavor to choose.
Manager Robert Paccione said he loved the smell the first time he walked into a vape shop. Now he enjoys the taste of the e-liquid people are about to experience, as well as helping them quit smoking.
He said that if someone knows nothing about vaping, they can come into the store and stay a while; staff can provide usage guidance and help them choose a suitable starter kit.
