The cocktail e-liquid reviewed this time is from the Wonder Flavor brand. Its official website is wonderflavor.cn, and the homepage states that the company was founded in the UK in 2014. In the same year, it established branches in the United States and Germany; in 2017, branches were set up in China and Russia.
1. Appearance Review First, please allow me to quote a promotional image from the official website: two foreign women drinking cocktails. The packaging is a liquor-bottle-shaped glass bottle made of dark-colored glass. When tapped with a finger, it makes the distinct sound of glass. Some similarly shaped e-liquid bottles are made of PET material. The Chinese label on the back states that the contract manufacturer is Shenzhen Fanhuo Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and it also lists a food production license number. There is an anti-counterfeiting code. The bottle I have is a test sample, and the manufacturer explained that the anti-counterfeiting code has not yet been uploaded, so I did not verify it. Friends who buy it in the future can check its authenticity. The label style is European. At the top is “arroguant bastard”; there is indeed a kind of liquor with this name, which literally means “arrogant bastard.” In the center is the Statue of Liberty holding a wine glass, and below are markings such as 3mg, 70VG/30PG, and 50ml.
The bottle mouth is sealed with wax, making it look very much like a bottle of liquor.
After opening the wax seal and the outer cap, there is also an inner plastic cap to ensure a proper seal and prevent leakage.
2. Tracing the Source
Information provided on the green Chinese label.
I checked the food production license number on the label on the website of the National Medical Products Administration, and it showed a company matching the one printed on the label.
These are the details of Shenzhen Fanhuo Biotechnology Co., Ltd.’s registered SC certification.
At this point, the traceability results for this test sample are fairly reassuring. As far as I know, there is still no domestic standard for e-liquid in China at present, so the contents fall under food flavorings. If the anti-counterfeiting code is also valid once the product officially goes on sale, then this should be a very trustworthy e-liquid.
3. Aroma Review
After opening the cap, there is an obvious fragrance, very much like an alcoholic aroma, though not specifically baijiu, red wine, beer, or yellow wine. It is more of a blended liquor aroma, fitting the name of a mixed cocktail. A drop on the back of the hand is colorless and transparent; after spreading it evenly and touching it with the tip of the tongue, there is no artificial flavoring taste and no stinging or burning sensation.
4. Mouth-to-Lung Review
The mod used was the CoilART Ranker, and the atomizer was the Freedom. The build used 26ga titanium wire, loosely wrapped in 8 turns, 3.0 mm inner diameter, resistance 0.38Ω, Muji cotton, and temperature control mode set to 255 ℃.
The vapor on the inhale is full and rich, with a strong liquor aroma. On the front end, there is no obvious sweetness or cooling sensation, only a slight fruit note. On the exhale, the liquor aroma is initially strong and then fades; sweetness appears, and the cooling sensation gradually emerges. The sweetness is not cloying, and the cooling is just right. After finishing 2 ml, I added another 2 ml.
5. Direct-to-Lung Review
The mod used was the CoilART Ranker, and the atomizer was the SMOK TFV12 RBA. The build used a single-core Clapton coil, tightly wrapped in 6 turns, 3.0 mm inner diameter, resistance 0.27Ω, Muji cotton, power 68W, and normal mode (a feature unique to the Ranker). Let me emphasize here that the TFV12 PRINCE atomizer supports both prebuilt coils and RBA. This time I used the RBA section. It looks like a tank atomizer, but it produces a huge amount of vapor, making deep lung inhales easy.
The image below shows the cotton after use; the vapor production feels substantial.
With direct lung inhaling, the liquor aroma becomes even stronger, almost like taking a big gulp of alcohol. The slight fruit note feels more like red wine or fruit wine; on closer attention, it is more like ice wine, but without the syrupy sweetness of ice wine. It feels very smooth and satisfying. The high VG ratio produces a large amount of vapor. On the exhale, the cooling effect is stronger than with mouth-to-lung inhaling, and the sweetness is present without being overwhelming. This atomizer holds 8 ml, and I finished two full tanks in a row.
6. Coil Gunk Review
This is what the Prince RBA looked like after vaping more than 14 ml. You can see a small amount of coil buildup.
This is what the cotton looked like after being removed from the RBA. There was very little residue on the cotton.
7. Review Summary
Highlights:
1. Great flavor. Rich liquor aroma, sweet but not cloying, with just the right cooling sensation in the aftertaste.
2. Clear and trustworthy sourcing. The “contract manufacturer” is a Chinese company, and it can be verified. The food SC code is genuine, which means this e-liquid is produced in China (at most using a foreign formula), so it feels reassuring to use. Once the finished product is officially on sale, the anti-counterfeiting code can also be checked, making it even more reassuring.
3. Very large vapor production, in line with today’s mainstream preference for big clouds.
Drawbacks:
1. No production date is marked. This is likely related to the fact that this bottle is a test sample, and I believe the retail product will not have this flaw.
2. Inconvenient refilling. The slim liquor-bottle-shaped glass bottle has no dropper or nozzle, so you can only pour it into another bottle before refilling, or use a long pipette like the one shown below. If you have neither, you can only pour directly into the atomizer, which is inconvenient. The packaging is just the glass bottle itself, with no paper box, so no long pipette is included. I am not sure whether this is also related to it being a test sample.
Conclusion:
The liquor aroma is mellow and authentic, the sweetness and cooling are well balanced, the vapor is dense, and the mouthfeel is full. This is an e-liquid that is very easy to enjoy. Before I knew it, I had gone through more than 20 ml in a row. It never became overwhelming and felt very satisfying. If the retail version can solve the refilling inconvenience, then this will be a very good all-day e-liquid.
