ADVKEN NOTCH RDA Atomizer Review

After launching the finished-coil Manta RTA, ADVKEN recently released an RDA called NOTCH. Judging from the name, it is clearly not a new member of the Manta family, but the start of a brand-new series. It is ADVKEN’s gift to users who love massive vapor
After launching the Devil Fish RTA, ADVKEN recently released a new RDA called NOTCH. From the name, it is clear that it is not a new member of the Devil Fish family, but rather a brand new series, a gift from ADVKEN to all fans of big clouds.

Without further ado, let's get straight to the point. The NOTCH comes in ADVKEN's classic square paper box packaging:

Inside the ADVKEN NOTCH packaging, you will find: ADVKEN NOTCH RDA Review NOTCH atomizer ×1

Tool kit ×1

Wiping cloth ×1

ADVKEN VAPING&SHARE card ×1

The NOTCH is paired with an 810 resin drip tip, which feels very comfortable in the mouth, and the vaping experience is very good. The top cap features a knurled design that increases the overall heat dissipation area of the cover, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the NOTCH.

The electrode connector uses a standard 510 interface, and the tool kit also includes a bottom fill screw, which can be used with bottom fill devices after replacement. ADVKEN NOTCH RDA Review The NOTCH's cover is divided into two parts, utilizing a mixed airflow design. The six symmetrical airflow holes at the bottom (three on each side) and the similarly symmetrical airflow holes on the side of the atomizer form NOTCH's multi-dimensional airflow system.

During use, I tested three airflow combinations of the NOTCH RDA:

1. Open bottom airflow, open side airflow

2. Open bottom airflow, close side airflow

3. Close bottom airflow, open side airflow

There is actually a fourth option, but it's better not to try it; don't ask me how I know.

4. Close bottom airflow, close side airflow (this method is not recommended for safety reasons).

These airflow combinations can basically meet the needs of most e-liquids, but when using a mesh coil, using only the bottom airflow can increase the temperature of the vapor, making it a bit hot (ignore this if you're from the north). I initially thought that using both bottom and side airflow would result in a hollow taste, but upon using it, I found that due to the large size of the mesh coil, it occupies a significant volume, and the internal structure of the atomizer does a great job of compressing the vapor, so the overall taste does not feel empty. When switching to a different heating wire (such as a clapton wire), using full airflow can still provide a good taste experience without feeling hollow. ADVKEN NOTCH RDA Review It is precisely because the NOTCH has both bottom and side airflow modes that it excels in various aspects such as vapor density and e-liquid flavor clarity. The NOTCH RDA is compatible with both pre-made mesh coils and traditional heating wires, reducing the difficulty of use. In a way, it also lowers the entry barrier for big cloud vaping, making it easy for both beginners and experienced users to get started.

I believe that under the "halo" of ADVKEN's big clouds, the NOTCH RDA will surely become a standout among big cloud atomizers. Let's wait and see!
