Kanger has a strong following in the domestic market, thanks to its affordable prices and excellent after-sales service, holding a significant place in the hearts of many vapers. Those familiar with Kanger products will surely know the Kanger TS218 regulated mod, which gained much attention upon release due to its rare touchscreen design. Now, Kanger has upgraded the KALON series with the launch of the KALON mini version, which, while smaller in size, increases the maximum power from 218W to 225W. Today, we will review the Kanger KALON mini 225W mod.

Upon unpacking, you will find the KALON mini mod, a USB charging cable, a user manual, and a warranty card. No additional accessories are included.

In terms of materials, the body is made of zinc alloy, providing a sturdy exterior. The display screen is made of tempered PMMA, offering good scratch resistance. The KALON mini is compact, powered by dual 18650 batteries, measuring 85*45*29mm, and weighing 160g, with adjustable power from 1-225W, making it comparable in size to single-battery bottom-fill mods.
Kanger KALON MINI The KALON mini, despite its small size, features a 2.0-inch TFT color display that is particularly eye-catching. Below the screen are the left and right buttons and the USB charging port. It is reported that this port supports 1.5A balanced charging, meaning that if the two batteries in the battery compartment have different remaining charges, it can ensure that both batteries are charged in the same amount of time.

On one side of the battery, there is a large fire button that fits comfortably under the thumb, with a suitable travel distance and good feedback. The centered 510 connector can perfectly match atomizers with a diameter of 25mm or less.

The magnetic battery compartment also aligns with current mainstream designs. Opening the battery compartment reveals three large magnets that securely hold the battery cover in place, preventing it from easily falling off. The battery compartment has six small heat dissipation holes, but they are not connected to the outside, meaning that the heat generated by the chip is trapped inside the battery compartment. The internal details of the battery compartment are well-handled, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of a leading manufacturer.
Kanger KALON MINI Regarding the chip, according to official information, it features the Ant225 self-developed chip, which is an upgrade from the Ant218 used in Kanger's RANKER, SAILOR, and KALON mods. The firing time is 0.015 seconds, and the chip supports firmware upgrades. In terms of usage, it is similar to other products, so I won't elaborate further.

In daily use, the KALON mini adopts a dual UI design, allowing users to switch between different styles. Additionally, the mod has nine basic wallpaper themes to choose from, and when connected to a computer and using the official software for upgrades, users can DIY customize wallpapers and standby screens for a better user experience.

In summary: With a firing time of 0.015 seconds, you can experience the "fire it up" sensation. The contrast of its small size and large screen makes it a product that attracts attention from vapers. As more users prioritize portability without sacrificing performance, the KALON mini, priced at 398, is indeed a product worth considering, offering great value for money.
