Analysis of Features Across the Full RELX Product Line: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Generations
For those who are not familiar with RELX vaping devices, whether you have used them before or are trying them for the first time, it is recommended that you choose based on your needs:
1. Flavor profile. Comparatively speaking, the 1st and 4th generations have a lighter flavor and a milder throat hit. The 2nd and 3rd generations offer a stronger throat hit. Although their vapor production is not as high as the 1st and 4th generations, the overall taste is better, more solid, and less moist.
2. Functionality. The Lingdian model comes with more thoughtful features. In addition to pod insertion detection, a 15-puff reminder, and Bluetooth vibration alerts, it can also record your daily puff count, and the reminder function is very nice. The 1st-generation Classic focuses on practicality and has the fewest features, while the 2nd and 4th generations are fairly similar in functionality.
3. Appearance. Each generation offers several design options, and the overall color choices are quite good. It mainly comes down to personal preference.
4. Pod price. The 2nd- and 3rd-generation pods contain less e-liquid than the 1st and 4th generations, but they tend to last a bit longer. The 1st and 4th generations come with three pods per box, while Lingdian and Alpha come with two pods per box (except cotton-coil pods), so replacement pod costs are somewhat higher over time. As for leakage, I have experienced it once with my Lingdian. The 2nd and 3rd generations are about the same in leak prevention, while the 1st generation has a slightly higher chance of leaking, though still acceptable. The 4th generation has been further upgraded in leak resistance and is currently the strongest in this regard.
5. Summary. Each generation of RELX has its own unique style and appeal. Alpha and Lingdian are suitable for users who prefer a stronger throat hit. Compared with the other generations, their experience feels closer to traditional cigarettes, and their lower vapor output makes them more suitable for office use. So far, I personally think Lingdian offers the best overall experience.
