How Are RELX Flavors? How Much Do the Pods Cost?

RELX first-generation flavors come in a wide variety, and this is currently the most mature and complete series. Below is a flavor review to help everyone compare and choose more easily.

These reviews are based entirely on personal impressions of all first-generation flavors, ranked from coolest to least cooling.

1. Mung Bean Ice Pop: It tastes like the mung bean popsicles from childhood. At present, this is the coolest flavor in the first-generation lineup, no arguments! After several updates, the mung bean flavor has been preserved very well and does not fade too quickly, and it is also very smooth. In winter, it’s recommended to take smaller puffs.

2. Strong Mint: It’s all about the cooling sensation, with just a slight hint of sweetness. A must-try for beginners. Basically, many people who smoke traditional cigarettes immediately feel tempted to buy one after just one puff of this mint flavor. However, if you use it continuously for too long, your mouth may feel numb to flavor or even slightly bitter.

3. Classic Ice Pop: Currently the sweetest among the cooling flavors, and it tastes almost exactly like the old-fashioned ice pops from childhood. Sweet to the core, while the cooling note keeps it from becoming overly cloying.

4. Iced Watermelon: This used to be the sweetest cooling flavor, but after an update the sweetness has basically disappeared (not sure whether that’s just my experience). It may be because too many people complained that the flavoring note was too heavy, but personally I preferred the earlier version, which was sweet like bubble gum.

5. Cola Ice: One of the new export flavors with an excellent cooling level. It’s not too cool and not too sweet. A small number of people may find it slightly bitter and not to their taste, but I think it’s quite similar to sugar-free cola and very enjoyable.

6. Drunken Blueberry: Blueberry lovers should not miss this one. It’s like a blueberry-flavored drink with a slight cooling sensation. Personally, I’m not too fond of it, because after using about half the pod, the flavor always starts to seem a bit burnt.

7. Iced Lychee Brew: My current favorite! A pure fruit flavor. It has a lightly sweet lychee aroma with just a touch of liquor-like note, combining into a very rich lychee fragrance. A tiny bit of coolness makes the overall flavor perfectly balanced. Truly fragrant and sweet.

8. Refreshing Cucumber: Unlike similar flavors from other brands, this one handles the flavoring note very well. A light cucumber aroma with a light cool sensation—everything about it is subtle, like a comforting touch in the heat of summer.

9. Energy Drink: It recreates the taste of Red Bull very well. One puff and you feel energized, plus a little coolness, just like chilled Red Bull. (Some people may notice a slightly bitter or astringent edge.)

10. Peach Oolong: Like a bottle of peach oolong tea. When it first came out, the tea note was a bit too strong, but after the sweetness ratio was increased in later versions, it became very good—like biting into a fresh, tender, sweet peach in an oolong tea garden.

11. Green Tea: A pure tea flavor. When it first came out, it made me cough quite a few times, so I did not buy it a second time. I’ll leave it at that.

12. Frozen Lemon Tea: It has a tiny bit of that Vita Lemon Tea feel, and a tiny bit of coolness too. It still makes me cough easily, so I’ll skip further comment.

13. Fresh Grapefruit: It has a slight tart and astringent note characteristic of grapefruit. The fruit flavor is strong, the sweetness is moderate, and I haven’t used it very often.

14. Iced Purple Sweet Potato: A rather polarizing flavor. The sweetness is extremely rich—people who like it tend to love it. The taste is very full-bodied, like purple sweet potato milk, and it smells intensely sweet and fragrant too. But some people may find it easy to get tired of. It actually does have a noticeable cooling sensation, but the sweetness may overshadow it.

15. Summer Green Mango: The mango aroma is handled very well, with no artificial flavoring feel. It tastes like a mango that has just begun to ripen. Medium body, high sweetness and fragrance—among the non-cooling flavors, this is one I like quite a lot.

16. Tropical Fruit: This one also has a slight throat hit. It has a medium-to-rich body, a mixed-fruit profile, and a bright, layered aroma. Among the non-cooling flavors, it is fairly popular.

17. Banana Milkshake: One puff and it feels like hearing Minions sing “banana,” haha. It’s a rich, full-flavored type, and like the purple sweet potato flavor it belongs to the sweeter, richer group. That said, it’s not quite as cloying and is still fairly enjoyable.

18. Lavender: A flavor that left me with an unforgettable impression. First puff: Blue Moon laundry detergent. Second puff: Safeguard body wash. After that, it started to feel more normal, turning into a sweet lavender flavor. As a functional flavor, it’s hard to evaluate—it does have people who like it.

19. Classic Original: Somewhat similar to a tobacco flavor, with a hint that also reminds me of winter melon tea. Longtime smokers seem to like this one quite a bit. I could not accept the first puff at all—my immediate reaction was “I’ll pass, thanks,” haha. But when I had nothing else on hand and picked it up again, it actually felt okay.

20. Gentle Original: According to many people, this lighter tobacco flavor tastes a bit like red date milk? This is the only flavor I haven’t tried, so I’ll skip it.
