What types of vaping devices are available, and how should beginners choose a vaping device?

The rise of the e-cigarette industry two years ago was like a sensation, and in just a few years, the number of e-cigarette brands has become countless. People's understanding of e-cigarettes has gradually deepened, and many have given up traditional cigarettes in favor of healthier e-cigarettes.

However, many people are still unfamiliar with e-cigarettes and have various questions when purchasing. Therefore, it is necessary to have a clearer understanding of e-cigarettes to choose a high-quality device that suits oneself.

Based on the current types of e-cigarettes available on the market, I have compiled a simple overview.

Classification of e-cigarettes on the market:

1. By charging method:

1. Non-rechargeable reusable e-cigarettes: disposable cigarettes;
2. Two-segment direct-charge rechargeable e-cigarettes: the battery is designed as a component + atomizer and evaporation device, accommodating nicotine solution + direct charging component. (Most designs on the market are like this);

2. By the formation of e-cigarettes:

1. Simulated cigarettes: the size and appearance of the e-cigarette are the same as traditional cigarettes. When smoking, the end of the e-cigarette lights up with vapor. It has the same effect as the head;
2. Non-simulated cigarettes: various shapes cater to different groups of people.

3. By shape:

1. Cigar e-cigarettes: should be said to be the ancestor of e-cigarettes, as it was just invented as a cigar;
2. Pipe e-cigarettes: e-cigarettes shaped like a pipe;
3. Flat mouth e-cigarettes: the mouthpiece is a plastic flat tip;
4. Mini e-cigarettes: shaped more like the size of a cigarette;
5. Women's e-cigarettes: very thin in diameter, resembling women's cigarettes;
6. Mechanical e-cigarettes: compared to other types, mechanical e-cigarettes do not have a circuit board. They rely entirely on mechanical principles to deliver current to the atomizer. The battery capacity is generally larger and can be replaced simultaneously;
7. High-power e-cigarettes: adjustable wattage e-cigarettes that provide a large amount of vapor sensation.

At this point, e-cigarette brands have begun to shine in both domestic and international markets. The variety of e-cigarettes available for people to choose from is increasing, and beginners should have a preliminary understanding of their choices after being introduced to so many types.

As for how beginners should choose e-cigarettes, I will briefly introduce it here.

For those with average manual skills who only plan to quit smoking and swear to become fans, they can choose e-cigarette sticks + pre-filled mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung atomizers.

Features: good taste, moderate vapor density, simple operation, and limited upgrade space.

If you want to quit smoking but do not want to spend too much money on equipment, disposable cigarettes are also a good choice.

The components of e-liquid include: flavoring, nicotine/nicotine salts, propylene glycol, glycerin,

Qualified e-liquids use food-grade/pharmaceutical-grade materials, which often appear in food, alcohol, cosmetics, and skincare products. Safe and reliable e-liquids can be ingested directly (but not recommended).

E-liquids come in various concentrations. Common concentrations include: 3MG, 6MG, 12MG, 18MG.

Domestic e-liquids are generally labeled as 3MG, but the actual content is only 1.5-2MG, while imported e-liquids are labeled according to the actual milligram content.

It is generally recommended that beginners choose different flavors based on their atomizer selection.

Mouth-to-lung atomizers: tobacco, plants

Direct-to-lung: fruits

4. By smoking principle:

Heated non-combustion e-cigarettes: the main principle is low-temperature heating, which releases vapor by heating new tobacco, referred to as HNB. The main feature is that a new type of tobacco similar to rolled cigarettes needs to be inserted into the device.

E-liquid atomization e-cigarettes: e-liquid is vaporized to produce smoke through electric heating.

5. By e-liquid category:

CBD e-cigarettes: Cannabidiol (CBD) is a component found in cannabis. CBD has been shown not to cause dependence, addiction, or hallucinations. It can improve sleep quality and relax the body and mind, and this category belongs to e-cigarettes containing CBD.

Nicotine e-cigarettes: the main components of e-liquid are vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), flavoring, and optional nicotine; nicotine e-cigarettes contain nicotine.

Nicotine-free e-cigarettes: e-cigarettes that do not contain nicotine in the e-liquid are referred to as nicotine-free e-cigarettes.

6. By size classification:

Small e-cigarettes: abbreviated as small e-cigarettes. The most famous pod on the market is Juul.

Large e-cigarettes: abbreviated as big smoke, which produces a large amount of vapor. The playability and coolness of Big Smoke have garnered many fans.

7. By reusability classification:

Disposable cigarettes: non-rechargeable and non-reusable e-cigarettes, which become useless once depleted.

Disposable pods and e-cigarettes: pods are separated from the device, which has a rechargeable battery. Once the cartridge is used up, it will not be replaced.

Refillable e-cigarettes: recyclable, with long-lasting pods. Once the e-liquid in the pod is used up, it can be refilled 3-6 times for continued use.

8. By appearance classification:

Simulated rolled cigarettes: the size and appearance of rolled cigarettes are the same as traditional rolled cigarettes. When smoking, the e-cigarette light has the same effect as ash.

Non-simulated cigarettes: various shapes can produce vapor, but the shapes are no longer limited to cigarettes.

9. By oil storage orientation system classification:

Resistance wire atomization e-cigarettes: through cotton cores or fiber ropes to absorb oil, bringing the e-liquid from the pod into the heating coil, which can evaporate vapor when heated.

Porous ceramic atomization e-cigarettes: heating resistance is burned on porous ceramics, integrating oil guiding and heating. The resistance on the ceramic is electrified, heating the e-liquid and producing vapor.

To provide a better e-liquid atomization experience, the porous ceramic atomization core has evolved into the third generation of thick film printing, and subsequent thick film printing atomization cores may become a trend.
