AMO Heated Tobacco All-in-One Device User Experience

The heated tobacco device exists in a unique form within the "e-cigarette" realm. While IQOS continues to lead the trend among globally popular heated tobacco devices, the emergence of various domestic brands is gradually revealing more comparable products. Today, we will share the AMO, which is one of them.

AMO features a pen-shaped design, and the overall user experience is quite similar to that of IQOS products. For instance, pressing the ignition button three times triggers the "preheat" function, and a vibration prompt indicates when to use it. The device can be used continuously ten times when fully charged, with a charging time of 70 minutes. The manufacturer also advises against using the device while it is charging.

The manufacturer provides a generous number of cleaning sticks, and the recommended cleaning cycle is after ten tobacco sticks. Similar products require regular cleaning of the heating stick, akin to the need to clean condensation from typical vaping devices. However, for heated tobacco types, cleaning should only be done after the heating stick has cooled down.

The upper part of the ignition button features a rotatable structure that activates an internal valve to eject the tobacco stick. The indicator on the ignition button provides LED feedback on battery status: over 50% (white), 50% or below (yellow), needs charging (red), and off (charging complete).

AMO uses the latest TYPE-C charging interface, and there is a reset hole below the interface that users can utilize to reset the device's parameters as needed. Given the endurance of ten tobacco sticks, heavy users may need to recharge the device twice a day.

The white cylindrical heating stick has a moderate resistance when inserting the tobacco stick, making it smoother than flat heating sticks. This is especially noticeable when residue builds up after using a certain number of tobacco sticks; with AMO, you can easily install the tobacco stick with a gentle push of your finger.

The lid fits tightly, and when opening the top cover to clean the heating stick, a bit of force is needed. However, as shown in the image, the hollow part allows for easy access to the heating stick, making it convenient to clean off any residue.

AMO has precise temperature control, resulting in a high integrity of the tobacco stick after heating. Evaluating the product experience alone reveals no significant drawbacks. However, the legitimate purchasing channels for heated tobacco products in the country have yet to flourish, which likely requires further implementation of regulatory systems to benefit the development of such products.
