Voopoo Demon Dripping Atomizer, Large Vapor Device
Today, we present a vaporizer from Voopoo, the Demon (恶魔) atomizer, which is also the first atomizer released by Voopoo, marking a milestone for the company. Let's begin this unboxing.
Upon receiving the atomizer, it comes in the same plastic-sealed packaging, and from the printed design on the packaging, you can see the full view of the atomizer. However, it is unclear whether the first batch only comes in red or if the packaging image can easily distinguish the color of the atomizer. This point is uncertain as to how the manufacturer considers it; we can only say that the color of the atomizer we received is consistent. The side of the box also has a sticker indicating the color of the atomizer, which logically suggests that this method should indicate that the image has been fixed and that the sticker is used to distinguish the color of the atomizer, but this is just a logical assumption. Who knows if the manufacturer will surprise us?
Opening the packaging, the box contains only the atomizer and an accessory pack. Unlike previous atomizers we reviewed, the foam block securing the atomizer is only 3/4 the size, leaving 1/4 for the accessory pack. This reduces the amount of foam used in similarly sized atomizer packaging, which somewhat indicates the manufacturer's concern for environmental issues, reducing unnecessary waste and pollution.
Taking out the items inside, you can clearly see that the accessory pack includes oil cotton, five screws, electrode screws that support bottom-filling devices, two Clapton heating wires, and a screwdriver.

Structural Overview
Looking at the atomizer's components (excluding the electrode screws, as the bottom-filling device is not needed for now), from left to right, there is a drip tip with anti-condensation features and a top cap (I prefer to call it a recent adjustment anti-slip ring, which makes airflow adjustment super convenient), a multi-airflow adjustment inner wall, an outer cover, and a base. Of course, remember, there are five screws, not nine; the electrode post does not have screws, meaning that five screws are for actual use and one is a spare. The official specifications are as follows:
1. Size: 24mm×33.5mm
2. Drip tip: Food-grade PEI material
3. Outer cover: Eco-friendly aluminum, available in 8 colors
4. Electrode: SUS stainless steel, vacuum gold-plated surface treatment, safe and high conductivity
5. Base: Gold-plated brass, super strong conductivity
The official data also provides specifications for the heating wire, made of nickel-chromium alloy, with a single coil resistance of 0.3 ohms and dual coil resistance of 0.15 ohms, which I personally judge to be using NI80 material with 26 gauge main wire paired with 36 gauge auxiliary wire, made in 3.0 wraps over six turns.
The manufacturer's information actually omits the material description of the airflow adjustment inner wall and the base's heat-insulating plastic, but based on personal speculation, the airflow adjustment inner wall material is likely similar to the electrode, while the base's heat-insulating plastic is similar to the drip tip, but this still needs to be verified with the manufacturer.
Additionally, while the outer cover is said to be made of eco-friendly aluminum, it does not specify the anodizing process.
Bottom-Filling Electrode Screw
This is the electrode screw in the accessory pack that supports bottom-filling devices. You can clearly see a round hole running through the screw, which aligns with the round hole above the positive electrode when screwed onto the base.
This alignment completes the support for bottom-filling devices, which has recently become quite popular, with prices varying widely. However, for users of ordinary regulated boxes or mods, the manufacturer did not consider adding a plug to support users' habits of filling from the drip tip.
Electrode Post
I remember seeing several reviews of this product stating that the Demon uses a U-shaped dual-post four-hole locking method, but viewers, please take a look; this device uses a pioneering stacked electrode design, with a Y-shaped positive and a U-shaped negative connected to the base, making the wire setup method similar to other atomizers like the Smiley, offering high playability.
You can play with vertical four coils.
You can also horizontally play with dual coils, and of course, there are eight coils and other various setups to meet the needs of users. In fact, I have been too busy with work lately to tinker much; otherwise, I would have done it all and let everyone enjoy it together. Through my tinkering, I found that the Demon can still be used with the top cap on even with eight coils (based on Lao Peng's evidence), making it more practical and playable compared to some atomizers that claim to support multiple coils and showcase them.
Airflow Method#p#分页标题#e#
Besides the highly playable electrode post, the airflow method of the Demon also satisfies many users. Of course, some may find it a bit redundant. Here, I will only mention the six airflow methods and flavor experiences I discovered, using a dual coil setup of 26×2 main + 36 auxiliary 3.0 wraps over five turns, at 80W power with blue ice heavy flavor e-liquid, comparing it with the Veil and Kennedy atomizers.
First, as a Northerner, I prefer the fully open airflow method, of course, some people may find this method too airy, but compared to some previous atomizers I've used with similar top and bottom airflow, the Demon does not feel as hollow; you can noticeably feel some resistance, and overall it feels quite comfortable. In terms of flavor layers, there is flavor, and you can detect layers; however, if you want to test flavors this way, you need to have a very good sense of taste, but it can indeed serve as an extreme test for your own judgment.
The six-hole airflow, of course, some people will say it is three-hole airflow because I am referring to the dual coil on both sides, while others refer to the single side airflow count. This airflow method does indeed enhance flavor, but the problem arises: it is too tight for pure mouth-to-lung hits, while too loose for direct lung hits. Overall, I am not very fond of this mode, and the flavor is similar to the eight-hole (four-hole) mode but weaker than the eight-hole.
Bottom airflow is my favorite method, but this bottom airflow does not simulate the bottom; it is just a hole to complete the bottom airflow method. Although the flavor is good, it is weaker compared to the feeling of other atomizers, but it is sufficient for ordinary flavor testing.
The upper small and lower large airflow method, uh... I will discuss this along with the upper small centered mode.
The upper small lower large mode has a flavor profile similar to the upper small centered mode, which is suitable for using flavorless e-liquids. The flavor analysis of layered e-liquids is very murky; it feels like all the flavors are mixed together, lacking the analysis of each flavor.
Now we come to the eight-hole airflow (four-hole), where the small holes disperse the air into the vapor chamber, greatly reflecting the flavor layers of the e-liquid. This mode is indeed a boon for those who pursue flavor but do not like large airflow.
The ranking of these modes based on flavor is as follows:
Eight holes - bottom airflow - upper small lower small - fully open - three holes - upper small lower large - upper small centered
My personal preference ranking is:
Bottom airflow - fully open - eight holes - empty - empty - empty - empty - empty - three holes, upper small lower large, upper small centered, upper small lower small. (Because I extremely dislike these four, I placed them further back.)
Summary: Overall, the flavor of the Demon is similar to Kennedy but slightly behind, yet better than 528-type atomizers, mainly due to its versatile playability, making it very comfortable to use.
Summary of Issues:
Of course, after discussing so much, it is time to organize it.
1. Although equipped with an anti-condensation drip tip, there will be condensation issues at the entrance in fully open mode.
2. The inability to close the bottom airflow is a major regret, but due to structural considerations, it can only be resolved by manually blocking the holes.
3. Since the outer cover has upper and lower openings, users who prefer to inhale first and then exhale may experience condensation flowing out from the lower airflow hole.
4. Since it supports bottom-filling devices, it should also be friendly to ordinary users; the positive round hole should have a plug added to prevent e-liquid from leaking out of the electrode screw hole.
5. After using for a period, due to condensation and other issues, the top cap and outer cover may become loose, such as easily sliding off when holding the top cap with one hand, causing the outer cover to slide along with it when screwing the atomizer onto the box.
6. Since the bottom airflow cannot be resolved, could it be considered to change from straight opening to slanted opening, simulating bottom airflow with a structure similar to the Mad Hatter's opening to guide airflow from the heating wire's bottom?
7. Currently using a flat screw, the accompanying screwdriver is quite inconvenient; it is recommended to switch to an internal hex screw and provide a corresponding number of spare screws, which would greatly enhance the operation and practicality.
Conclusion:
I did not rush to write the review after receiving the atomizer; since it is a review, it requires a period of use to understand the product, achieving the goal of providing better feedback to the manufacturer from the player's perspective, allowing the manufacturer to improve and make the product more comfortable and loved by users. Therefore, I only released the review today.
Overall, the Demon is a highly playable atomizer that can adapt to the preferences of most users, allowing them to adjust and explore more play styles. Although there are some minor flaws, their attitude and ideas are still worth encouraging. It can be said that during this time, the Demon is one of the most innovative and worthwhile atomizers to acquire.
